Southside Animal Shelter Adoptees

 

 If you are looking for a new warm fuzzy friend , we have several Kitties available for adoption 

at Best Friends.  We have been working with SouthSide Animal Shelter for the last couple of years by featuring a few feline friends.   The Buff tiger cat is Chester, he is about 9 months old, playful, amusing and gets along well with other cats.  The gray tortoise cat is Nanook.  She is about 1 to 2 years of age, loves to play and explore and also gets along well with other cats.  Then we have Shaka, a long haired tiger and white girl and her friend Aimee, a short-haired tiger girl.  Both are about 1 and 1/2 years of age, like to drink water  from the sink, they are also playful, cuddly and get along well with other cats.   All are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations Feline leukemia tested negative and available  for loving homes.    

Dachshund Photo's Happy Holidays ! .

Join us this Sunday, December 12th for our dachshund meetup group at 1:00pm.  We meet once a month and have a different theme each meeting. We will be featuring Holiday Pet Photos this month and there will be lots of playtime involved too.  Everybody always has such a great time.

Hello, my name is Roscoe and I am a 10 year old Springer although the way I act you would think I was 1 yr old!! I absolutely love coming to Best Friends! I always do the Play N Stay where I make a ton of new friends for a minimum of 4 hours a day. After my playtime with my friends I get to eat dinner, snuggle up on my wooly and pass out!! I’m normally asleep right after dinner! On the day I go home I always get the “Go Home Fresh Bath”. And today I’m even getting a haircut! I know my parents will be excited to see my new haircut as am I to show it off!! Hats off to Claire!

Hi! My name is Kela and I am a 12 yr old Siberian Husky! I am an absolute gem and love to be snuggled and loved on by my non fuzzy friends here at Best Friends. When I board mom and dad get me a cuddle time everyday and at night I get tucked in on my super soft orthopedic bed. Mom and dad get me the “Go Home Fresh Bath” when I stay here so I go home smelling wonderful. I’m an older gal but the girls and guys at Best Friends treat me great and I always greet them with a kiss and leave the same way!

Hello, my name is Barney and I am a 6 1/2 yr old Rotty Mix! I am the best-est dog you'll ever meet!!! I am a BIG LOVER and will cuddle up and sit on your lap if you let me!!! I love to play with my red ball and Miss Sherri always gives me my belly rubs!!! I love coming to Doggie Daycamp and seeing all of my friends!!! I've been coming here for 4 years and I absolutely love it!!! My mommy says every Weds I starting hopping around the house because I'm ready to go to camp!!! At camp we even have parties and we get to dress up and get our pictures taken!!!

Doggie Daycamp is the Best-est thing ever invented!!!

Hello! My name is Penny.  I am as Silky Terrier and I am almost a year old.  My Mom and Dad brought me to the groomers at Best Friends for a bath and haircut.  My canine friend who I live with, Sandy, came with me today.  She is a white Miniature Poodle.  She was featured as Makeover of the Week a couple years ago.  Now it's my turn!!!  As you can tell from my before picture, my hair gets quite long and tangled.  But the groomers at Best Friends know how to make me look picture perfect again.  It's not easy being this cute, but I know how to pull it off!

Hi there!  My name is Annabelle.  Nice to meet you!  I am a 2 year old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.  Bet you've never heard of that breed before, huh?  This is my first time at Best Friends Pet Care Resort in Castleton.  I've been having so much fun.  My owners purchased the Play and Stay boarding option for me.  This means I get to play with other canine friends who are boarding here.  I've made lots of new friends and have been having so much fun running around and playing outside.  When it's time for me to go home, I'm going to get a bath so I smell fresh and clean when I go home.  The groomers seem really friendly and a bath and brush out will feel so good.  But I will miss my new Best Friends and can't wait to see them again.

Hello! My name is Makeda G. I am a year and a half old Miniature Schnauzer.  I can get pretty shaggy between grooming appointments.  My Mom likes to bring me into the groomers at Best Friends Pet Care in Castleton to get all spiffed up.  When they are finished I look like a show dog!  The groomers at Best Friends always make me feel very relaxed and comfortable while I'm being groomed so I sit like a good girl for my haircut. I'm ready for my close up!

Hi! My name is Minnie. I am a one and a half year old Yorkshire Terrier mix breed dog. I love coming to Best Friends Pet Care in Castleton to board and play with my canine buddies. My parents request the Play and Stay boarding option for me so I get lots of excercise and play, play, play with my friends until I am all wiped out! You know what they say...a tired dog is a good dog, and I am a very good dog!!!

Hello my name is King and I am a 3 yr old Siberian Husky. As you can see I am an all white husky with beautiful blue eyes, so I have a tendacy to get a little dirty. See huskies are very adventures dogs and love the cold weather. So this has been the best few days ever!!! This is my first time at Best Friends and I get a playtime everyday outside with a human friend so I got a little dirty this week. But as you can see I am getting the "Go Home Fresh Bath" package so I am going home smelling AWESOME!!! Come and check out Tina grooming skills, they are Husk-O-Rific!!

 I'm Mowgli, one of the sweetest pups you'll ever meet!! I had a rough start in life, I was a parvo puppy. Most puppies who get parvo don't survive, but I'm a stong and powerful pup!!! I'm a 10 month old lab mix. When my dad started bringing me here I wasnt old enough to do the Play N Stay but watch out because now I am!!!! I have made so many new friends during my stays!! I love to run around and play chase, also LOVE LOVE LOVE to wrestle and hug and kiss everyone!!! Come join me and we can be Bestest Friends!!!

Hello! My name is Sparkle. I am a four year old Miniature Poodle.  This is my first visit to Best Friends.  I board with my housemate and best buddy, Koda.  He is a eleven and a half year old Great Pyranese.  We are quite a pair and like to play, play, play!  As you can see from my before picture, all my playing gets me quite shaggy and tangled.  Today I am getting a complete makeover from the awesome groomers at Best Friends before I go home from my boarding stay.  You won't even recognize me after my haircut and bath!  I'm ready to do it all over again!

Hello!  My name is Calbert.  I am a two and a half year old Basset Hound. I love coming to Best Friends for boarding and to visit my other canine friends.  The staff at Best Friends knows how to wear me out during my stay. I like to play on these colorful plastic kiddie castles when I get playtimes outside.  And I am a hound dog, so you know I like to talk, talk, talk!  I am king of the playground when I'm up here! Sometimes I play so hard during my stay, my Dad has had me get a bath in the past before going home.  The Groomers at Best Friends make sure I'm fresh and clean for my departure.

Hello my name is Lily. I am a 4 years old Shetland Sheepdog. When I stay at Best Friends I enjoy getting a bath and haircut before I go home. Whether I am staying at Best Friends or at home I love to play which means that I can get a little dirty and not feel so beautiful. When Sara is all done with my bath and haircut I look and feel like the Princess that I am. Thanks Sara for making me look and feel like a million bucks.

Hello! Our names are Libby and Jessie, short for Liberty and Justice! I(Libby) am a 6 1/2 yr old Golden Retriever and my lil' sis is a 1 1/2 yr old black German Shepard. This is our first time at Best Friends and we were honestly a little nervous when we first came in, but the staff put us at ease very quick! They took us straight to the DDC room where we started our vacation with the Play N Stay package! Thats where we are able to play with furry friends and human ones too and also spend the night for one low price! We are absolutely loving making new friends everyday! Tell your moms and dads that you need a vacation too!!

Hello our names are Cinder and Spooner. Cinder is a 3 years old Lab mix and Spooner is a 9 years old Hound mix. When Mom and Dad go out of town, they bring us to stay at Best Friends. When we are here we get the Delighted Doggy package. That means we get a playtime, walk and explore time, and ice cream break. As you can see from our pictures we have a lot of fun running and chasing each other.

Hello our names are Jessie and Moose. We are 3 and 1 year old Labs. When we come and stay at Best Friends our dad gets us the CUSTOM STAY. This is were we get to choose three different actvites like a playtime, cuddletime, walk and explore, and bedtime story. We like to do the three playtimes. That way we can go and play kong out in the yard with our human friends. When it is time to get ready to go home dad says we have to have a bath so we go home smelling really good.

 Hiiiii!!!!! My name is Rosie and I am an absolute blast to have around! I've been coming to Best Friends for almost a year now, and wowsers let me tell you, you gotta come check it out!! My mommy and daddy bring me into Best Friends to play with my counsler Miss Sherri 3-4 times a week!

Mom and dad call it "going to school", but I don't believe it! It's to much fun to be school!!!!  What school do you get to have parties every month and dress up in silly costumes?

 I also sometimes board here at Best Friends and when I do, I get to participate in the Play N Stay..same prinicipal as camp...but I get to stay the night!

I have oh so many friends, but I could always use more, so have your mommies and daddies bring you in to see me!!! Lets play dress up together!!!

Hello, my name is Beignet, and I am a 5 month old Himalayan. This is my first time coming to Best Friends for grooming. With the type of cat that I am, I will be coming to see the groomers at Best Friends quite a bit. I am a sweet guy that is very laid back. Claire is the groomer that gave me a bath for the first time and I didn't mind at all. She said that I was a very good cat.
