Spring Break

Hey everyone, it's spring time. Which means spring break for the kids. We have quite a few dogs and cats in house. When they come and stay with us they can enjoy a few activites and treats. They can go outside for a walk and explore or a playtime. Your pet can stay in their room and cuddle with us. They can have a suite treat, which is a kong stuffed with peanut butter and biscuits and then frozen or your pet can have a frosty paws or smokey treat. We have great choices for additional bedding, such as a cot that raises them up off of the floor and you can add an orthopic mattress. Everyone has a great time when they stay with us. If you are planning a trip please give us a call, we'll make room for your loved ones.

Pet First Aid

On March 13, 2009 we held a Pet First Aid class here at the Indy Best Friends. We had 26 people attend the class that evening, this was a great class. In the class we learn how to do CPR on dog and cats and how to apply bandages to wounds. We watched a video and then practices on a dummy cat and dog. The class was very interesting and had a lot of good information. We have all become CPR and First Aid certified after taking the class.

St. Patricks Day party in Doggie Day Camp

Every holiday we try to have a party in Doggy Day Camp. March 17 was our St. Patricks Day party. We had 21 dogs come to the party. They spent some time outside playing in the pool, yes it was warm here yesterday and just having fun running and chasing each other. We also took individual pictures of each camper and made cards with their pics in them. They went home with goodie bags, their card, and a bandana. We had some worn out puppies!!

Every week we choose a pet of the week and makeover of the week and put their picture and bio on a board in the lobby of the store. Isabel Strati and Sammy Koropoulis have been chosen for this week. We enjoy creating a bio for each pet we pick. Here's a picture of what it looks like in our lobby.
